Being FSC® certified indicates that Martin complies with one of the highest social and environmental standards on the market. By offering FSC® certified products, Martin supports responsible management of the world's forests.
Martin is FSC® certified through the Rainforest Alliance. The Rainforest Alliance works in over 70 countries to manage and conserve natural resources and helped to establish the FSC®. In 2009 Martin was one of the first acoustic guitar manufacturers in the industry to produce a guitar model comprised entirely of FSC® certified woods. The D Mahogany includes a genuine mahogany neck, back and sides, an Alpine spruce soundboard and katalox fingerboard and bridge.
Martin Guitar is audited annually regarding FSC® Chain-of-Custody certification compliance. Many coworkers across all functional areas are involved in maintaining our FSC® compliance.
